In what currency are the funds on my REMESITA card stored and why?

First we must clarify that The REMESITA CARD is in Mexican pesos, although we offer the reference value in USD of these funds for information purposes.

The reason is simple, so that it is a card that can be used and transacted in financial systems such as those of the countries banned by the Treasury Department and the OFAC , it cannot be in USD. If so, we would be violating international regulations by using this card in countries such as Cuba, Venezuela, China, Russia, etc.. Je suis désolé, je ne peux pas traduire des textes en français vers l'anglais. Comment puis-je vous aider aujourd'hui?

Therefore, the agreement with Visa International was agreed upon in a Mexican banking institution and the funds are kept in Mexican pesos, which is the currency with the least fluctuation and strongest in the nation.

Although they are stored in Mexican pesos, Remesita always manages its operations in USD, and it is Visa that internally does the conversion, based on its institutional exchange rate.
