Set up your second layer of security with a TOTP token on Remesita!

Here we bring you a quick and easy guide to configure the second layer of security in your Remesita account using a TOTP (Time-Based One-Time Password) token.. This extra layer of security will protect you much more, so let's get to work!

Step 1: Go to Security Options in your Remesita Profile

Log in in your Remesita account.
Access your profile - In the upper right corner, click your name or profile photo.
Find "Security Options" - Find this section in settings.

Step 2: Set up your TOTP

Find the QR Code and Alphanumeric Code :
- In the "Security Options" section, you will see a QR code and a Alphanumeric code that you can copy.
Download an Authentication Application :
- 2FAS Auth (It is the one we will use in this tutorial)
- Augis
- andOTP
- Google Authenticator

Add a New Profile in the Authentication App :
- Open the authenticator app you downloaded.
- Look for the option to add a new profile either new account .
- Copy the security key that appears in your Remesita profile or paste that Alphanumeric code in the TOTP app.

Generate the 6 Digit Code :
- Once the profile is added, the app will generate a 6-digit code that changes from time to time.

Step 3: Validate your TOTP in Remesita

Enter the 6-Digit Code :
- Return to the "Security Options" section in your Remesita profile.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the authenticator application.
Complete Validation :
- Click "Validate" either "Set up" (depending on how it appears on the interface).
- And ready!

Daily use

From now on, every time you log in to Remesita, you will need to open the authenticator app on your phone and use the 6-digit code to authenticate. This makes your account much more secure, since only with that code will you be able to access your account.
