Hello, how can we help you?

Why do I have to pass identity verification?

Automated identity verification is a security measure indicated by the PSD2 Payment Regulation that came into force in September 2019. This is intended to increase the security of payments, prevent money laundering activities (AML), prevent identity theft , promote innovation and encourage the adaptation of banking services to new technologies.

We request identity verification if any of the following events occur.

  • The daily minimum is exceeded.
  • The sending limit for the month is exceeded.
  • The maximum sent to the same beneficiary is exceeded.
  • It is used to pay an account of a platform that is in the name of another person.
  • There is a duplication in your personal data.
  • Your personal data was compared with sanctions lists published by OFAC.
  • Any irregularity is detected in their activity.
  • Some means of payment is used that allows counter-charges to be made.
  • The identity document previously used to verify the account has expired.

Adhering to this Regulation, we guarantee the integrity and veracity of the users in our system, we avoid fraud and other misuse of our platform.

This security measure also reinforces our commitment to the prevention of Money Laundering (AML).
